Welcome to Vancouver West Soccer Club! We're glad you and your player are joining our club. Here are some basic questions we receive from parents.

How much does it cost to play?

For the 2019-2020 season, the cost for Fall soccer is U5-U8 - $70.00 per player (T-shirt included in fee)
U9-U19 - $90.00 per player, not including uniforms. Our goal is to make soccer accessible for all so if anyone is having difficulties paying they should contact Rachelle Beatty at

2019/2020 age chart

When do sign-ups begin? Fall season registration will be open May 15th. Returning players from the 2018 Fall have until June 30th to register to be placed back on the same team. All other requests will be based on registration date.

I've registered my son/Daughter. What happens next?

If you've registered and paid on-line via credit card, your child will be assigned to a team when our club registrar starts creating teams begining of July. PLEASE NOTE: If you've registered but elected to pay by check, we will not assign your player to a team roster until we receive your payment. We obviously encourage you to pay promptly. Once your child is assigned to a team, we will deliver a copy of that team's roster to the coach at our Coach Meeting the third week of July. Coaches then make contact with families and typically organize practices to start the first week of August.

When does the regular season start?

Practice times and start dates vary depending on your team. Most teams will begin practicing begining of August. All teams are allowed 2 practice per week in Fall. Games will start the Saturday after school resumes from Summer break, September 7, 2018 and will end November 2, 2018

Where are games played?

Your player's coach will inform you of game location(s) and the season schedule. Generally, we use Lincoln Elementary, VSAA, Jason Lee, and Luke Jensen. Although playing away games can take you as far as East as Camas and North as Longview.

How do I register? For accuracy of player information, we offer on-line registration. Registration is not considered complete until payment has been received and posted to your account, and we have verified that we have received a state issued birth certificate or current passport to prove date of birth. Registration is initiated online. Please click on the Registration link in the left menu to get started once registration is open.

I changed my mind, can I get a refund? Yes, as long as you request a refund before August 1, 2019. Exception: doctor's note stating player cannot play for the season or if you have moved out of the area. There is a $10 service fee for all refunds.

When will I know what team my child is on? We start forming teams in July, and will have rosters to coaches end of July. If you do not hear from a coach by August 10th, contact Rachelle Beatty at

Where do I buy the uniform? All uniforms are purchased through the club during your online registration process

Is my child old enough to play soccer? For the Fall season, the player must turn four years old on or before December 31, 2019.

If I played for Vancouver West Soccer Club prior to this year must I turn in my birth certificate? As long as you submitted a birth certificate in the last couple years, you may not need to issue one. If you are not sure, please contact Rachelle Beatty at to verify if a birth certificate is needed.

Will you accept a hospital issued birth certificate? No, Washington State Youth Soccer (WYS) requires all players to submit astate issued certificate of live birth or current passport in order to be assigned to a team. Hospital certificates are NOT accepted.

Does my child have to try-out? Tryouts are not part of the recreational soccer program. Try-outs are held for players age 9 and older wishing to play at an advanced level of competition. These teams are Advanced Competition teams and only play other Advanced Competition teams. All other teams are recreational teams, players are assigned based on last year's team, team request, and sign-up date.

Can my child keep the same coach he/she had last year? We encourage all players to register as soon as possible so we can try and honor team and coach requests. There are no guarantees - but players who register by June 30th typically are granted their request.

Who do I contact if I need additional answers? Contact Rachelle Beatty at if you have more questions.
